Medical Disclaimer
Information on this website is intended for general education. It is not a substitute for an in-person consultation with a qualified orthopedic specialist.

1. Purpose of this website
The content published on www.drharshalorthopedic.com (the "Website") by Osteon Orthopedic Hospital and Dr. Harshal V Kalambe Patil, MBBS, MS Orthopaedics (MCI Registration 12/45565), is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is intended to help patients and their families understand common orthopedic conditions, treatment options and recovery expectations.
Nothing on the Website should be interpreted as a diagnosis, prescription, treatment plan or definitive medical advice for any individual. Specific medical care can only be provided after a proper clinical assessment.
2. No doctor-patient relationship
Use of the Website — including browsing pages, reading articles, sending an enquiry form, or messaging us on WhatsApp — does not by itself create a doctor-patient relationship between you and Dr. Harshal V Kalambe Patil or any other clinician at Osteon Orthopedic Hospital. Such a relationship is established only after a confirmed consultation (in person or by telemedicine) where the clinician has reviewed your specific history, symptoms and investigations.
3. Always consult a qualified physician
Please do not start, change or stop any medication, exercise, physiotherapy regimen or treatment based solely on what you read on the Website. Always consult a qualified registered medical practitioner about your particular situation before acting on information found here. Self-diagnosis based on internet content can be misleading and may delay appropriate care.
4. In case of emergency
The Website is not intended for medical emergencies. If you or someone you know is experiencing a medical emergency — such as severe trauma, a suspected fracture with severe pain or deformity, signs of stroke, chest pain, uncontrolled bleeding, loss of consciousness, or any life-threatening condition — please call the local emergency number 108 (in India), or go to the nearest hospital emergency department immediately. Do not rely on email, WhatsApp or website forms for emergency response.
5. Accuracy of information
We strive to keep medical content on the Website accurate, current and aligned with mainstream orthopedic practice. However, medicine evolves continuously, guidelines change, and individual conditions vary. We make no warranty — express or implied — about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability or availability of the information for any particular purpose. Any reliance you place on this information is strictly at your own risk.
6. Third-party links
The Website may contain links to third-party websites, journals, professional bodies or videos (for example, Google Maps, YouTube embeds, peer-reviewed articles or insurance partner pages). These links are provided for convenience only. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, privacy practices or availability of third-party sites. Visiting an external site is at your own discretion and risk.
7. Testimonials and individual results
Patient testimonials, Google reviews, recovery stories and outcome data published on the Website reflect the personal experiences of those individuals. Orthopedic outcomes depend on many factors — including age, severity of the condition, bone quality, comorbidities, adherence to rehabilitation and overall health. Individual results will vary. The experience described by one patient should not be treated as a promise or guarantee of a similar outcome for you.
8. Telemedicine consultations
Where we offer remote consultations, those consultations are provided in accordance with the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines issued by the Board of Governors in supersession of the Medical Council of India (Notification dated 25 March 2020) read with the Indian Medical Council (Professional Conduct, Etiquette and Ethics) Regulations, 2002.
Telemedicine has inherent limitations: the clinician cannot physically examine you, palpate joints or perform real-time imaging. The treating clinician may decide, in his or her professional judgement, that a particular condition is not suitable for tele-consultation and that an in-person visit is required. Prescriptions issued via telemedicine are limited as per the categorisation of medicines under the Guidelines.
9. Clinical photographs and images
Clinical photographs, X-rays, MRI scans, intraoperative images and post-operative results displayed on the Website are shared only with explicit written or recorded consent from the patient (or guardian) concerned. Identifying features are removed wherever possible. These images are illustrative; they do not represent expected outcomes for every patient, and they should not be relied upon to estimate your own results.
