Conservative-first management
Spine, Back & Neck Pain
Most back and neck pain — including disc-related radiculopathy — improves without surgery. Accurate diagnosis first, surgery only when truly indicated.

What it is
Back and neck pain is one of the most over-treated conditions in orthopedics. The truth is that the vast majority of cases — including disc-related radiating pain — improve with the right combination of postural correction, structured physiotherapy, and occasional image-guided injections. Surgical referral is reserved for the small subset of patients whose imaging and symptoms genuinely warrant it.
Dr. Kalambe Patil's spine practice focuses on accurate diagnosis (MRI review, postural and neurological examination), then matching the treatment to the actual problem rather than defaulting to either over-aggressive surgery or under-treated chronic pain.
Conditions managed
- Acute and chronic low-back pain
- Cervical (neck) pain and stiffness
- Disc-related radiculopathy (sciatica, brachialgia)
- Postural and ergonomic-related pain
- Spinal stenosis (mild to moderate)
- Spondylosis and degenerative spine disease
- Coordinated surgical referral when genuinely indicated
Our approach
Diagnosis first
Detailed history, neurological exam and MRI review (your existing scans or fresh ones in-house).
Honest framing
What the imaging actually shows vs. what's actually causing your pain — these are often different.
Structured physiotherapy
Specific exercise plans for your diagnosis — not generic stretches. Most patients improve significantly within 6–8 weeks.
Image-guided injection (when needed)
Targeted epidural or facet joint injections for pain that's blocking rehab progress.
